Prince of Wands       2 of Penticals

We Started out with just a general reading, I laid out the center cards first, and just described them, no Interpretation really. Then when we came to the foundation card Pr of Wands and the Past the Sun. I said something about, the Q. being a princess, because of all princes gathered around her. I told her I saw the Prince of Wands and the Sun r as an old relationship whose energy was winding down while I saw the A of Swords and Prince of Swords as a new relationship, perhaps with a more Intellectual quality to it coming into her life. She replied that the Pr of Wands and Sun could be two things, but did not elaborate on the point yet. So I continued. I said I thought the Ps of Cups and the VIII of Swords together spoke of her fenced off from her emotions. She Nodded, I still was not sure what to make of the Pr of Pen. I thought it might be her, and asked if their where material concerns involved in her relationship with the two princes. Looking at the Tableu I said I saw the 2 of Pen as a juggler, but that she was juggling two much and thing where comming to a head. I told her the VII of Pen was a hopeful card and that with hard work things would go her way. But the IV of cups was a reminder for her to look around herself especially emotionally and count her blessings. Finally I felt that the VI of Pen spoke to her looking outside herself. That her generosity would be rewarded. So she should put energy out into the world and it would return to her.

The Q. had been very quite during the first once over the cards, but now that we had a foundation established she opened up and we had quite a conversation. It seems that the Pr of Wands/ Sun pair could be seen two ways from her point of view. 1. She was going through a divorce and it was nearly final. So the sun was setting on that relationship. 2 Her Grandfather was very ill and likely would not survive the night. So the cards could be channeling either or both of those energies. Her boyfriend was pressuring her to move. A Swords, and Prince of Swords, but that would take her further from her son. Pr of Pen. Now the 3 princes made sense, The child grounding her in one place while the Pr of Swords wanted to fly.

Ps of Cups I pointed out to the Q. that the Ps of Cups is shown with her totem, the panther. That the Panther is a totem of independance. So the lesson of the Ps of Cups is that she is complete in herself, before she widens her universe and blesses other people by allowing them into her life. Going I said, that the trials ahead where trials she would endure alone, that I'm sure her bf would try to shelter her, but the wind would range all around just the same and that she would have to work things out for herself. I think this chimed with her, made her feel better. We moved onto the VIII of Swords, she told me how she had had to distance herself from her emotions in order to cope with the situation in the present moment. I told her that made perfectly good sense to me, that I could see she had a lot to deal with and it would take quite some time to work through it all. Yes, she felt very like the 2 of Penticals, the Juggler feeling overwhelmed by all the disks in play.

The cards where very on, and with a little help from the Q. the reading was ultimately on too, and it really seemed to help the Q. to talk about these things and get them off her chest. In the end a very worthwhile evening. In the end we not only had 3 Princes and a Tale to tell, but each of the 3 Princes was appropriate to his role. The Prince of Wands in the Past. The Prince of Wands being Mars in his Role as a lover. The Prince of Air seeking to fly, and Prince of the Earth grounding our Q. Nothing more for now, time to pause, say Blessed Be, and send a little energy to our Q. She surely needs gods blessing.
