I would like to share with you my interpretation of the hanged man. I feel the perservering spirit of Esther flowing through this tarot card - The story of Esther being found in the Old Testament of the bible and she being the Queen of Persia.

God used Esther in a very Powerful and Providential way to save the Jews from total Annihalation and extermination. Haman had a plot to Kill the jewish people - his was of getting back at Mordecai for not bowing down to him. He decided in a rage of retaliation that well if Mordecai the Jew will not bow down to me I will simply hang him in the Gallows and kill all of the jews! ((What a plan!))

If you dont do what I say well Ill show you! How many have plotted and planned in an evil way against our lives silly little plans for our evil to get us fired from a job a false accusation that could put you in jail a lie that was said to destroy a trusted friendship things done or said to hurt you or destroy your life Esther had found out about Hamans plot against her cousin Mordecai and all of the Jewish people, and in her desperate flight to save her people, she being a Jew as well ,she had to get King Xerxes her husband to put a stop to it and this meant her having to go into the kings chambers which was not permitted for anyone to do as Death was the sentence!

She had to go to him and plead with him to put a stop to it! Her words were this "Go, and gather all the jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. and so I will go to the King, which is against the law, and if I perish, I perish!" Esther 4:15

She chose to fast and pray for three days and went into his chambers He saw her and received her and did as she asked and Haman ended up Hung in the Gallows - the very Gallows Haman had prepared for Mordecai! and Mordecai was then made great among all the men! The Hanged man card shouts out to you to Pray and perservere as God knows the truth and will expose the enemy! and you will come out the victor in what ever you are going through at this time! The Key is to trust and pray!

PLease trust God and allow the spirit of Esther to uphold you in that there is Great Power in prayer and fasting when we find ourselves up against a dangerous wall. It is time to pray and maybe even fast and put your eyes upon God! Victory will come! Written 1/19/2003 by Sheyla

Divination: Tree of Life, Release, Sacrifice, Piercing the veil of the material world, touching higher conciseness. Sacrifice, Repentance, Regeneration, Adjustment to new life forces.

Reversed: Lack of Sacrifice, Failure to give of oneself, preoccupation with Ego. Attachment, Bondage, Time to let go.

I've largely stepped aside this week and let Sheyla's piece speak for itself. I would like to add this lil bit. In The Path, Whitley Striber Points out that the Figure in the Hanged Man, when turned upside down, appears to be dancing. The Dancer however is still Tethered. Speaking to my mind of a person, is finding joy in life in the material but not developing spiritually, and tied to the material world.
