The Robin Wood Tarot

I received a request for a reading today via email. The Q had stumbled on my site while online, and got that nudge so to speak. So when I got her email, I felt I had to honor the intent, and read for her. We exchanged a couple more emails, and determined that we could not get together and chat online so I would have to do the reading cold.

I've already done most of the cards in this spread. However, I have not done the Q of Pentacles, which is also very important because it indicates the Querants influence in the situation. So I guess its time to take a few minutes to get acquainted with the Queen of Pentacles.

Of the Empress's four daughters, I think she is most like the Empress herself. For this queen is very concerned with affairs in the world. Fertility, Abundance, and Comfort are dear to her. She knows that poverty, can overtime impoverish the spirit. She also knows we where put into this world, to live in it. So unlike her sisters, she does not seek to dream about past lives, or fantasize about passionate loves. She lives her life grounded in the world as she discovers it daily through her senses. She may not be as quick witted as her Sister of Swords, or as intuitive as her Sister of Cups, but because she does not jump to conclusions, or race ahead of the moment, but rather lives in the experience of the experience, she gathers wisdom. Her progress may be slow, but it is as solid as the foundations of the earth, and what she builds will last.

Also because she lives in the experience of the experience she is a very sensual woman. She does not wolf down her food as she tears to her next meeting. Rather she savors what life presents her with, whether it is a Whopper or a Lobster. This is the core of her wisdom. For she does not waste the days god has given her, in a rush to get to a "better day" no one has promised her.

For life is for living, and every flower, and every birdsong is an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of creation. So rather than praying for a dreamed of future every night before she goes to bed. Our queen says a prayer of thanks every morning, for the day that has been given. Blessed Be All, BB.

Divination: Abundance, Charity, Comfort, Dignity, Security, A Woman who does not miser, but does not waste. A person with a Noble Soul.

Reversed: Distrustful, Insecure, Greedy, A person Pretense, Neglected Resposibilities, Suspicious.
