A moment of your time: Mura At the risk of going to well the one to many times, I thought, It might be worth while to return to the temple. The VIII of Trumps, had been making regular appearances. In my speads, I found this encouraging, and honestly a source of strength in and of its self. Its hard to give into ones vices, when you feel, you are being watched over and reminded to stay strong. Still, I wondered if there was another lesson I was overlooking, so I thought to try to return to the temple, and speak to the priestess there. I prepared a tea of mugwort, and meditated on the image of the priestess before going to bed. One never quite knows where the winds will take you on the dark sea. So I was pleasantly suprised to feel the sun beating down on my face, and breath in the rich air of Jeruselems market square. ... After wandering for a while, I came down to the temple to find the priestess, seated between the columns of Boaz and Jachin where I had left her before. She motions me to sit down with a slight gesture of her hand, and ask's. "What brings you child." I wish to understand the meaning of strength lady.
She directed my attention to a small crystal orb and began like this: Isis had two sons in that world, Ra and Horus. They were born two years apart, and when they came of age Isis had promised each one great gift. When Ra came of age, he came to his mother and asked her for the trappings of a great warriar. He would then ride into the West and cast Set forever into the shadows. So she gave him a long and sturdy Lance, A bow that fired arrows straight and true as the rays of the sun. A chariot that burned like fire, and two fine winged horses to pull it across the sky. Then Ra rode out to do battle with Set. From the first day of summer to the first day of winter they battled. The sky crackled with lightning. And floods washed the land, when one threw the other into the sea. And where Set Dodged Ra's spear, the lance scorched the earth. In the end gasping, and bloodied, Ra, and Set drew apart and each retreated to his fortress. Now the gods wept, for the lands of Mura had suffered, The forest of Anar, was in flames. The plains of Neferit where a desert, and the Black hills reaked of fumes and molton rivers flowed. Isis who might otherwise have mended what was broken, was striken with grief. She could not bare to look upon the beautifal world that had been trusted to her keeping and see it so ruined. So Isis, fell mad with grief and while she grieved her children, the Murian, starved, and many died of famine in the ruin of the world. A year passed and when Winter Solstice came Horus sought out his mother. She dried her tears, and remembering her promise, asked. What boon do you seek my son for your coming of age. Horus said: "Give me a bag of seeds, Lend me the use of your silver chariot the Murian call the moon. Grant my voice power over wind and rain, till I return home." Then Horus rode out into the night, scattering his seeds under cover of dark so the hungry birds could not find them all. Gentle rains followed in his passing, and he toiled hard. Twenty one years and a day, passed while Horus tend the fields of Mura. And when he returned home the gods greated him with a great cheer. For Anar had been restored, and her people grew strong again. The Black hills where covered with vinyards, and Many fields bloomed. Sadly the Neferit had been scorched by the point of Ra's spear, and nothing ever grew there again. So tell me child, who was the stronger. Ra who turned a garden into a desert. or Horus, who turned a desert into a garden. and I awoke with her question ringing in my ears. Divination: To understand others is to be knowledgeable; to understand yourself is to be wise. To conquer others is to have strength; to conquer yourself is to be strong. Chapter 34, the Tao te Ching. Reversed: Weakness, Pettiness, Impotance, Lack of Faith. Abuse of Power, Succumbing to Temptation, Indifferance. |
