Today I drew the Judgement card, but I really did not have a good Idea what too say. I did a little reading on some things I thought might help, but they did not really, and with my head thick from the after-burn of too much coffee I decided to lay down.

I closed my eyes. Thinking about the High Priestess, and what would she have to say about image on Melanie's vision of the card. The XX of trumps presents us with an Angel who is a woman of color dressed in a pure white gown. A very long veil covers her hair. She holds a white stone in her right hand, and a black one in her left. Near her hands are the heads of two ravens. The thing that really caught my eye however is her medallion.

"Why"

Because Im not sure what its meant to be, It looks like a medicine shield, and also like a Masonic Eye.

"So you think Melanie is playing games with the image, blending symbolisms.

She could be, I don't have an image with the resolution to really tell what the central image is except there clearly is a triangle.

"And what would the triangle mean."

I'm not sure, I could not find a answer I was truly happy with.

"So you came away empty handed?"

Not quite, There is an element of ascension. The long sides pointing towards heaven, and an element of rest with the base sitting on the earth.

"Like a little Tower of Babble?"

No the Tower was a challenge to god, this feels more like a bridge between heaven and earth.

"And she is the guardian of the bridge?

Not really, no, I think its more a metaphor. A metaphor for when we pass over to the other side and see ourselves, with no place for excuses and self deception.

"What will you see?"

I don't know, but it wont be an ascendant soul.

"Why not? Your basically a good man?"

Its not the same thing. It seems to me, if you cross over with shadows still on your soul, you remain bound to the earth.

"What Shadows"

The Shadows of one's Sins.

"I didn't know you still believed in sin."

I was raised Catholic.

"So just what is Sin. "

The Master of the Key said, Sin was the willful indulgence in imperfection.

"He also says it's denial of the right to thrive, but what do you say it is?"

I'm still working through that, I used to think it came down to anti-survival behavior. If you look at the 10 commandments from a given point of view, they are admonisments not to engage in anti-survival behavior. Live according to these rules and your community will survive, even if you do not have all you personally want.

"You said you used too believe that, what changed."

I dont think its as mechanistic as that anymore. I do think there is an element of choosing to fall short of ones moral code. Like a man saying to himself, I know its wrong to cheat on my wife, but damn so and so looks good in her short shorts and no one will ever know.

"And making babies you can't support is anti-survivial, even while your breaking your wife's trust. But I would like to return to this idea of shadows."

The way I have come to envision the energetic body over the last few years is a body of light. Perfect it would be like glass, maybe like a cathedral glass. An imperfect body, like mine, has area's of shadow. The shadow's of ones sins, they tie us to the earth and prevent us from ascending.

"So your not viewing judgement, as being like making an accounting of yourself before God, but rather, an accounting to yourself."

An honest accounting, with no room for excuses and bullshit. I think so, yes.

I'm not so sure, I think there is something missing from your vision.
