The Gendron Tarot
Witchy Tarot

Lemuria and Atlantis

Shirley Andrews says that the evidence for past civilizations in both the Atlantic and Pacific is so overwhelming that we should look beyond basic questions and ask ourselves: why did they disappear and what is their message for us now.

Syncronicity is the heart of the Tarot, but the reader may not always be aware of the energies in play. A perfect example of our sometimes imperfect understanding came up in preparing for this weeks card. I drew the card for the week essay and of course got the Page of Wands. Then seperately and with a completely different deck, (The Witchy Tarot Actually) I laid out my usual 3 card reading and once again got the Celebration of Flames, the corresponding card in that deck!

An event like this is going to give you pause, I leaned back and tried to fathom, what the card could mean in my life, and quite honestly could not grasp a connection. Well life goes on and I went to work. A couple of days later, I noticed Cori's posting about the year of the Monkey and amazingly its very much describes the Page of Wands.

So I come to find out I drew the Page of Wands on Chinese New Year, on New Years Day of the Year of the Monkey, and drew the perfect card to reflect that energy. So it seems to me, my Tarot was tuned into that larger energy, and reflecting it in my spread.

So what did Cori pass on to us:
This is a year that will find us all trying to get a better deal by outsmarting the other man. It is hard to keep track of who is winning, as the right hand has no idea of what the left hand is up to. One thing is for sure, this will be an extremely progressive time. We will all steam ahead, and even if we do not apply ourselves to the utmost, we will be carried forward by the surging tide of the Monkey's natural talent for learning and advancement.

The lucky imp of a Monkey who rules this year will urge us to gamble, speculate and exploit risky but ingenious options. If you are quick on the draw, this year will yield huge dividends. It is definitely not a year for the faint-hearted or slow-witted. The Monkey gives no concessions and asks none in return. If there is a recession, the year of the Monkey will quickly put an end to it. Business will skyrocket under his optimistic and shrewd influence. The Monkey's resourcefulness will amaze and confound everyone. Found at:

My Gremilin

It seems to me the key thing with the Monkey, and the Prince of Wands, reflects the fearlessness, playfulness, and inventiveness of youth. The mischievious energy, and love of life of the page of wands shines through the enclosed picture of my daughter. She was just about 3 years of age when this photo was taken.
