Glacier Camp, Northern Ellesmere Island.

Area covered in one meter deep snow. Glacier on the right. July 1989. -2 Celsius.

In July 1988 this was a nice exposed rock section next to a glacier. Now in July 1989 it is covered in one meter of snow. I sat down in a huddled position (see picture) and was very cold. My boots were wet from ploughing through the one meter deep snow. Our tracks are visible on the left.

Same glacier, further down.
