Firth River rolling hills at Muskeq Creek, Yukon, Canada.

Rolling green hills near the Firth River, at the junction with Muskeq Creek, Yukon.

We walked some 200 meters up a ridge at the Firth River where the Muskeq River joins.

My group members are enjoying the view at the Firth River but I am more interested in the endless green rolling hills with barely any trees. We are at the tree line and they only occur down in the valleys.

The area seems remarkably easy to walk but don't be fooled. The muskeq, small polygons cause dby frost heaves make the waling hard. Also, it tends to be wet.
