Breakfast of Champions -- with Chocolate

Just when you thought there was at least one meal per day that didn't include chocolate, our friends at Quaker Oats and Kellogg decided to change all that.
Sonia Reyes at Brandweek resports in 'Healthy' Chocolate Comes To The Cereal Category that apparently breakfast cereal sales have been flat in recent quarters. What better way to spur market share than to ride on the coattails of recent studies promoting the health benefits of dark chocolate?
As the article states, "Quaker Oats and Kellogg are hoping chocolate's improved image will entice more people to try its healthy positioned Life and Special K lines, respectively. Neither product will tout the purported anti-oxidant properties of chocolate."
But we'll all be thinking it. And, if it gets more people to eat breakfast, that's good for everyone!
