From a postcard

Truman is buried in Independence, Missouri in the courtyard of the Harry S. Truman Presidential Museum and Library. I visited there on July 7, 2007.

After visiting two sites in Topeka, we made the hour trip to Independence. First, we visited the Museum and Library where we saw the grave.

Then we went a few blocks to the home. It was late in the day, and we missed the last tour, so were not able to tour the home.

This was the last gravesite of the trip. For the whole trip, we visited 6 presidential graves, 2 V-P (not include the 3 that were also president), 1 Presidential loser and 1 V-P loser. We traveled over 4500 miles through 15 states. It was a long trip, but well worth it.

After the visit, I now have only one more presidential grave!
